Job Summary
Transport Trailer Mechanic role focusing on repair, maintenance and overhaul of heavy haul trailers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting systems, estimating repairs, adjusting components, performing preventative maintenance, reading blueprints/diagrams, conducting quality assurance, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Additional duties cover overhead crane operation, reading specifications, organizing work area, and participating in toolbox meetings. Skills highlight strong communication, autonomous work capability, time management, dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. Certifications/licensing for CVIP are preferred. Working hours are days Monday–Friday in an in-person shop setting with hourly pay and apprenticeship pathways available.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician
- Trailer experience preferred
- CVIP license (Preferred)
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must be quick to learn new skills
