Job Summary
Per Diem Transport Technician at Baystate Health, assisting in mobilizing and transferring ambulatory patients for transport, transporting specimens and medications within the hospital, moving wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, and supporting non-critical patient procedures under RN direction. Must maintain patient comfort and safety, provide exceptional customer service, coordinate with care teams, and adhere to infection-control and safety standards. Requires GED/HiSET and Basic Life Support certification; shifts offered 7a-3p or 11a-7p with per diem availability. Work environment is fast-paced hospital setting with collaboration across peers, clerical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- GED or HiSET
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Must read, speak, write and understand English
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be flexible
