Transport Team Manager

Oversee scheduled transport activity and manage internal and external drivers to ensure on-time performance and service levels. Lead daily briefings and debriefs, monitor driver performance via operational data, and track national and local KPIs while implementing corrective actions. Ensure legal compliance with transport operations, uphold Operating Licence standards, and promote health and safety across the site. Proactively manage employee relations, investigate incidents, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and trade unions. Collaborate with the Sort Centre team to streamline operations and adapt quickly to demand changes during peak periods. Act as deputy for the Shift Manager when required.
