Job Summary
Coordinate all depot activities and efficient dispatch of routes daily, ensuring delivery procedures and policies are adhered to. Coach and motivate the delivery team regarding performance, absence management, and disciplinary processes while maintaining open communication with sales, warehouse, and other departments. Manage incoming and outgoing goods, backhaul collections, and vehicle maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure safety compliance. Lead by example in applying company policies, oversee security and health standards, and deliver training as needed. Requires a full clean Category C Driver's License, valid CPC, and digital tachograph card. Full-time role based at Dublin Distribution Centre with competitive salary and pension benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in a relevant management / supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operation
- Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective manner
- Strong knowledge of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.)
- Proven ability to manage a team to deliver the highest standards of service
- Proven ability to be an effective decision maker with a hands-on approach to the business
- Ability to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business data
- Fluent English – reading and writing
- High level of flexibility and problem solving
- A full clean Category C Drivers License, valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card and have a digital tachograph card
- Must possess a strong knowledge of the surrounding geographical area
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the Food distribution industry is advantageous
