TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION/TRUCK MECHANIC

Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance services on trailers, refrigeration units, trucks, and APU units. Conduct general repairs on truck systems including coolant, fuel, electrical, drive train, brakes, and suspension. Responsible for brake replacements, trailer ABS brake system repairs, and conducting FHWA inspections. Perform structural, body, rear door, and electrical repairs on trailers, along with APU service and repairs. Engage in road service work, maintain a clean shop, operate company and customer vehicles, and utilize forklifts, hoists, and tools. Confidentiality of company information is a must.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS driver’s license required
- Must have own tools
Desired Qualifications
- NYS inspector’s license preferred
- Refrigeration experience preferred
- CDL License a plus
- EPA certification a plus
Additional Requirements
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
