Transport Planner

Transport Planner to support studies for Bahrain traffic projects under the Senior Transport Planner or Team Leader. Responsibilities include preparing Transport Notes, Statements and Reports, Site Access Appraisals, QA/QC activities, and analysis of traffic survey data. Requires use of traffic modelling tools (VISSIM/VISSUM) and junction analysis tools (SYNCHRO/SIDRA); perform trip generation and parking assessments; draw drawings and visual aids; conduct basic survey work and traffic surveys; run traffic models and related calculations; ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements; participate in meetings (MoM) and support design coordination with team members; contribute to program delivery and budgeting. Professional development in integrated transport/land-use planning, travel demand management, and modal shift initiatives is encouraged. Authorisation to work in Bahrain is required; CRPEP registration is preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD and traffic analysis tools (SYNCHRO, SIDRA, VISUM, VISSIM, HCS) is expected; knowledge of Python and VB/VBA for transport modeling and data analysis is preferred. Strong attention to detail and initiative, and the ability to collaborate across project teams are desired.
