Job Summary
Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane and petroleum products to wholesale customers and retail bulk facilities. Inspects transport vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, reporting defects to supervisors. Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures while operating trucks according to established safety protocols. Engages with customers to provide service information and answer inquiries. Requires mandatory weekend work and adherence to all DOT requirements. Delivers goods over intercity routes, plans routes using maps or satellite tracking, and monitors road conditions. Ensures all hazardous materials precautions are followed and follows applicable traffic laws. Keeps trucks and equipment clean, fills fuel, and washes windows. Reports incidents to dispatchers and takes rest periods during trips.
Required Qualifications
- Class A, CDL license with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement
- TWIC Card
- Must be able to pass Industry Certification Training (PEP, formally known as CETP)
- Must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license with Haz Mat & Tanker Endorsement
- Must provide driving record with under 2 points
- Requires mandatory weekend work
- Must have a positive, upbeat attitude
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year Hazmat hauling experience
- Desire to grow and accelerate with the company
- Good customer relations
- 1 – 2 years driving experience
