Job Summary
Drive patients to medical appointments and community outings within the local area, providing companionship and a friendly presence during visits to cafés, the beach, shops, or art galleries. Support palliative care patients to maintain independence and connection by communicating any changes or concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator. This role requires a current driver's licence, access to a registered and insured vehicle, and comprehensive motor vehicle insurance, with availability for 1-2 hours per fortnight between 9am and 4pm on weekdays. Volunteers must be aged 18+ and meet immunisation requirements, while HammondCare arranges and pays for the National Police Check.

- Comfortable supporting people living with a serious illness
- Patient, compassionate, and respectful
- A confident driver
- Current driver's licence
- Access to a registered and insured vehicle
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
- National Police Check
- Willingness to meet required health screening and immunisation requirements
- Available for 1-2 hour per fortnight commitment
- Weekday daytime hour availability (between 9am and 4pm)
- Aged 18+
- C class driving licence
- Safe driving record
