Job Summary
Support the design, integration, testing, and deployment of IP/MPLS network transport and network virtualization solutions. Assist in architecting highly available IP-based solutions and test products in a client-owned integration lab. Create and execute test plans for validating new installations and network upgrades while documenting designs and installations. Provide required project management support. This role requires an active Secret clearance, a Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of experience, and hands-on experience configuring routers and switches with protocols like OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, and IS-IS. The position is full-time, onsite in Frederick, MD, with a salary range of $60,000 to $180,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience; or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in IP and IPv6
- JNCIA or CCNA
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience in network engineering tasks, including configuring routers and/or switches and understanding the associated protocols (e.g. OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, IS-IS, MPLS)
- Must be prompt, be able to take direction, and work in a fast-paced environment
