Job Summary
Serve as the primary communication link between emergency medical services crews and hospital staff, facilitating smooth patient transfers and ensuring protocols are followed. Expedite the preparation of patient transport, escalate operational concerns, and assist with patient handoffs while resolving issues during transfers. Act as a resource for EMS regarding hospital processes, clinical pathways, and procedures, and foster collaborative partnerships with hospital leadership, providers, and families. Raise awareness about hospital procedures for patients, staff, and EMS. This role requires an active NYS DOH EMT-B or Paramedic license with BLS certification, at least one year of field operations experience, and the ability to stand, bend, and lift without assistance.
Required Qualifications

- active NYS DOH issued EMT-B certification

- Minimum 1 year of field operations experience as an EMT or Paramedic in a commercial ambulance entity
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, kneel or crouch
- Ability to lift without significant assistance
