Job Summary
Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program, assisting with loading and unloading alongside a medical escort. Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind, and follow transportation schedules while completing all required documentation. Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues and communicate with caregivers regarding specific details. Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested while maintaining a positive environment for medically fragile children and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Chauffeur's License
- CPR certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational/technical school or college
- One year of experience in commercial driving or chauffeuring
- Experience in caring for children, particularly those with medical needs
- 21 years of age
