Job Summary
Transportation driver responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments and activities, loading/unloading from facility-approved vehicles, maintaining vehicle condition, and keeping maintenance logs. Requires 25+ years old, valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and completion of a drug screen and background check. Training to perform safe patient transfer techniques for ingress/egress and securing residents in vans is required; position involves flexible work times to accommodate resident appointments and activities. Required Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license (DL)
- Pass a drug screen and background check successfully, including driving record
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Must be able to lift, transfer and mobilize patient weights up to 75 pounds
- Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area
- Must be able to demonstrate safe clinical-based transfer techniques for transferring patients to and from wheelchairs and vans
