Job Summary
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tank trucks or tractor-trailers in alignment with DOT regulations and MPC policy. Drive equipment to transport petroleum products safely and efficiently from loading locations to delivery points, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws. Follow site-specific standard operating procedures for loading and offloading, and complete all required regulatory and customary paperwork. Communicate incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, and report equipment issues promptly. Maintain a satisfactory driving record, hold an active Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle endorsements, and work up to 12-hour shifts including holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Active Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Must register with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Must be able to drive interstate
- Active CDL Endorsements: Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle
- Must be able to work up to a 12-hour AM/PM shift
- Must be able to work hours beyond schedule
- Holidays and weekend may be required
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Must pass required drug and alcohol screening(s)
- Must complete DOT physical and maintain current medical card
- Must pass three-year DOT safety background check
- Must pass seven-year criminal background check
- Must pass pre-trip exam and road test
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation
- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to grip a steering wheel for extended periods of time
- Must obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
