Job Summary
Conduct safe, timely transportation of residents, staff, and community passengers for activities, functions, appointments, and outings, including privately booked transport, group bookings, chartered transport, and after-school pick-ups. Coordinate the Harbison fleet by scheduling vehicle use, maintaining booking systems, monitoring availability, and ensuring vehicles remain safe, clean, and operationally ready. Perform safe embarkment and disembarkment, actively support organized outings, and collaborate with teams to establish timetables and conduct risk assessments. Maintain the Transport Booking system, complete daily inspections, checklists, and log sheets, report accidents, arrange servicing, and promptly inform management of vehicle malfunctions. Provide excellent customer service to residents during transport while adhering to all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Required Qualifications
- Currently hold or are willing to obtain a Class LR (Light Rigid) Driver's License with a safe driving record
- Possess and maintain a valid LR Drivers' License, including assessments and reassessments as needed
- Possess and maintain a valid Working with Children Check qualification, including assessments and reassessments as needed
- Must hold a current National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- Must meet Child Protection Act requirements and hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
- Positive attitudes and values consistent with a person-centered approach
- Strong relationship-building skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience working with older people including the frail aged, people with a disability and children
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations and safe driving practices while operating the vehicle
- Please note the current Influenza vaccination & NDIS check are requirements of employment at Harbison
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
