Job Summary
Safely transport adolescents to and from various departments within the hospital, including diagnostic areas, therapy sessions, and patient rooms, while ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist patients during transport by providing guidance, reassurance, and support to alleviate anxiety or discomfort. Collaborate with healthcare staff to coordinate transport schedules and respond promptly to transport requests. Maintain a clean and organized transport area, ensuring equipment such as stretchers and wheelchairs is in good working condition and properly sanitized. Monitor and document patient conditions during transport, reporting any significant changes to appropriate personnel. This role requires a valid Missouri driver's license with appropriate endorsement, at least 21 years of age, and experience in a mental health setting. Located at 121 Primrose Lane, Saint Robert, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Missouri Driver's License with appropriate endorsement/s
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents)
- knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development
- the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems
