Job Summary
The Transport Attendant at South Shore Health is responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients, specimens, and equipment across various departments. Candidates must provide excellent customer service, ensure patient comfort, and adhere to safety protocols while handling patients and related equipment. The role requires effective communication skills to interact with clinical staff and patients, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Candidates are expected to assist with patient transfers, monitor vital equipment during transport, and maintain a clean, safe environment in compliance with established health standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language
- Ability to move or lift patients and equipment

- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

- Previous hospital experience preferred but not required
