Transmissions Technician

Technician – Transmission (Aviation) responsible for repair/overhaul of mechanically operated aircraft components in the Transmissions Shop. Requires reading and understanding manuals, drawings, schematics, and flow diagrams; use of hand tools, torque wrenches, micrometers, and dial calipers; ability to work overtime/holidays on short notice; cross-training across departments and teamwork; and maintaining safety and procedures. Responsibilities include testing, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components; following customer instructions and company policies; and regular attendance. Must have HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of mechanical experience; position may involve lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing respirator; successful completion of drug testing and FAA background checks; must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
