Job Summary
Transmission Telecommunication Planning Advisor responsibilities include supporting and designing plans for electrical transmission/sub-transmission/distribution systems, providing cost estimates and options for construction, coordinating with internal staff, and overseeing environmental permitting. The role involves leading environmental planning, reviewing complex designs, managing multiple projects under tight timelines, and providing team leadership and training. Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, Design Manager, SPIDA, AUD), strong stakeholder coordination, field data collection through inspections, and maintaining accurate digital/geospatial records are required. The position is hybrid with residency in California (Alhambra area) and up to 25% travel; it emphasizes risk assessment, budget monitoring, and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements (NERC CIP) throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Design, Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Line Construction, or Engineering discipline.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
