Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical transmission systems, cables, and equipment at customer and job site locations. Inspect and test lines to identify faults, then record results to recommend repairs or upgrades. Splice and connect cables using specialized tools, apply insulation materials, and install amplifiers or repeaters to ensure strong signals. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and respond promptly to emergency repair situations to minimize service disruptions. Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes while working in potentially hazardous environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
Desired Qualifications
- 8–10 years of related experience in transmission systems, electrical maintenance, or a similar technical role preferred
- Previous hands-on experience working with electrical cables, utility systems, or transmission equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and effectively manage time
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, electrical systems, and transmission technology
- Familiarity with safety procedures, testing equipment, and industry standards related to electrical transmission systems
