Job Summary
Transmission Project Manager responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization. Will scope, budget, schedule, plan, execute, monitor, and report on transmission-line projects; lead a project team of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff; coordinate with Substation Engineering, Transmission Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Lands/Right-of-Way, and other groups; serve as primary client and stakeholder interface; provide technical mentorship and training to project team members; occasional travel required. Must have strong knowledge of transmission engineering principles, applicable codes and design tools, and the ability to manage multiple technical disciplines; PE license and PMP certification preferred; sponsorship not required; office locations in Columbus, Omaha, or Lincoln, NE with on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' project engineering experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organization and planning skills
- commitment to quality and accuracy
- willingness and ability to meet fast-paced project schedules
- PE license and PMP certification preferred
