Job Summary
Transmission Project Manager leads the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization. Responsible for scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of transmission line projects; oversees project teams of engineers, designers, drafters and support staff; coordinates with SME groups across disciplines to ensure successful execution; serves as primary interface with clients and stakeholders; provides technical mentorship to project staff. Requires a BS or MS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of project engineering experience, 2+ years PM/leadership experience; PE license and PMP certification preferred; travel may be required; sponsorship not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' project engineering experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organization and planning skills
- commitment to quality and accuracy
- willingness and ability to meet fast-paced project schedules
- PE license and PMP certification are preferred
- ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines in transmission line projects
- ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules
- subject to client-mandated drug and background checks
- occasional travel/driving required
