Job Summary
Transmission Project Manager responsible for the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new/upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization, with scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of transmission projects; leads project teams of engineers, designers, drafters and support staff; coordinates with Substation Engineering, Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls; serves as primary interface with clients and stakeholders; provides technical mentorship and training to project team design staff; travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' project engineering experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organization and planning skills
- commitment to quality and accuracy
- willingness and ability to meet fast-paced project schedules
- PE license and PMP certification (preferred)
