Job Summary
Perform detailed engineering and design for overhead high-voltage transmission lines (69 kV to 500 kV+), developing plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation designs. Conduct line routing studies, analyze structure spotting, and prepare design calculations, engineering reports, and bid documents using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and SABRE. Coordinate with internal teams on civil, structural, and electrical matters while supporting permitting, environmental studies, and construction activities. Maintain project documentation ensuring compliance with NESC, ASCE, and IEEE standards. Communicate technical issues and deliverable expectations to clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering or utility design
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and SABRE, or similar modeling tools
- Solid understanding of NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards, and utility engineering practices
- Experience developing engineering drawings and construction documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- PE license or progress toward PE
