Job Summary
Transmission Line Engineer responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new/upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement, construction support through energization, and collaboration with senior engineers. Duties include creating project scope documents, performing finite element design modeling with PL S-CADD, engineering design of structures and foundations, developing loading and plan & profile drawing sets, staking sheets and sag charts, producing construction specifications, and supporting client/stakeholder coordination, mentoring of design staff, and project QA. Occasional travel is required; PE licensure is preferred. Hybrid work model available and relocation assistance not specified.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years design or project engineering experience
- ability to work in a team environment
- excellent communication skills
- fundamental knowledge of transmission engineering principles and applicable codes/standards
- experience with design tools and project management skills preferred
- PE license or progress toward PE licensure preferred
- no visa sponsorship required now or in the future
