Job Summary
Perform transmission line design in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures. Develop project drawings and documents including plan profiles, bills of materials, and foundation details while interpreting client and industry standards. Ensure designs meet specifications and contribute to internal design procedures. Mentor designers and technicians, sharing technical expertise during project site visits when possible. Requires 5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering and proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and design codes such as NESC and ASCE 7. Full-time role with flexible work hours and health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or technical school degree or combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering design
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE (wood, steel, and concrete)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of design codes, standards, and guidelines such as NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7, material procurement process, and construction work packages
- Must be authorized for full-time work in the United States

Desired Qualifications
- Ability to lead a team of designers/technicians while working closely with the engineering staff
- Perform foundation design using FAD Tools and/or LPile
- Experience with transmission line voltages 345 kV and above
- Experience with underground medium to extra high voltage line designs
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD
