Job Summary
Senior Transmission Engineer overseeing design and analysis for high-voltage transmission lines. Responsibilities include developing and directing electrical engineering designs, interpreting PLS-CADD models and diagrams, producing estimates and schedules, drafting scopes for contractors, developing equipment data sheets and specifications, supporting bidding processes, selecting vendors, and ensuring technical reporting and project management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering, 8+ years of utility-line engineering experience (or PE with 6+ years), PE registration within 2 years if not already registered, and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. Familiarity with electrical power transmission line design, systems analysis, and project/facility management is desirable. Must be able to work in an office environment with occasional outdoor design/testing, and be capable of walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Office located in Tulsa, OK, with substation locations across northeastern Oklahoma.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- Power emphasis preferred
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a line engineer with an electric utility, or six (6) years with registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- If not registered, must have the ability to acquire PE registration within 2 years of employment
