Job Summary
As a Transmission Design Engineer, you will design and implement high-voltage transmission lines and substation structures, performing necessary analyses to ensure efficiency and safety. You'll prepare detailed design documents, materials lists, and construction packages while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Effective communication with clients and contractors is essential, along with coordinating project timelines and providing technical support. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSCE, BSME, or BSEE), relevant experience, and knowledge of industry codes. Skills in organization, communication, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving are crucial.
Required Qualifications
- BSCE, BSME, or BSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 1+ years of experience in transmission line design preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of transmission and distribution engineering principles, codes, and standards
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to quality and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- EIT certification or plan to obtain PE license
- Good working knowledge of Excel and AutoCAD
