Job Summary
Lead end-to-end delivery of electric transmission projects, overseeing planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout activities. Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans while coordinating with engineering, environmental, permitting, construction, and operations teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, leadership, customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Monitor performance, provide executive-level reporting, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Manage contractor and vendor performance to drive quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. Support strategic planning efforts for transmission infrastructure programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, energy infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary project teams
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and project delivery methodologies
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management processes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience with transmission line, substation, and grid modernization projects in the US and/or Canada
- Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and utility regulatory requirements
- Experience working within investor-owned utilities, EPC firms, or energy infrastructure organizations
