Job Summary
Join AECOM’s Transmission & Distribution team to work on a range of design and consultancy services across the electricity network, including High Voltage Power Systems Analysis, Cabling, Substations, Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure, System Balancing and Compensation, Protection Systems, SCADA, Communications, Converter Station Design, HVDC Systems and interconnectors including overseas links. The role requires an electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (eg HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng) and demonstrable design consultancy experience, with working knowledge of BS/Eurocodes. Effective communication with internal and external clients and various stakeholders is essential. The position supports hybrid working in the UK and contributes to the UK’s energy infrastructure modernization and energy transition initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical/electronic/power engineering or equivalent qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng)
- Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
- Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors
