Job Summary
Manage the capital project closeout process by reconciling project charges against completed scope of work after assets are placed in service. Research and resolve variances between actual and estimated costs, then track project closeout status while maintaining accurate records and providing business reports. Develop customer-focused relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance to ensure successful project closure. Perform data analysis to identify process improvements and contribute to best practices for the Transmission Capital Project Program. Requires two-year degree with preferred Bachelor's in Engineering, plus familiarity with tools like TEAMS, Maximo, and PowerPlan.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree from a technical school or university with related work experience
- Prior experience managing power utility transmission capital projects
- Familiarity with Transmission Line design, construction, operation, and maintenance
- Working knowledge of materials and equipment used in Transmission Line projects
- Understanding of Transmission Line construction scope, material costs, and associated budgets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities to work across multiple departments
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Experience with tools such as TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault, and/or PowerPlan
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Strongly preferred experience in Transmission Lines design and/or construction
