Job Summary
Transmission Analyst responsible for scoping, running, and automating power flow studies and production-cost analyses to support BESS development and interconnection cost optimization across multiple geographic areas. Role involves interpreting third-party power flow studies, producing internal memos and presentations on transmission upgrade costs, executing executive production cost model studies to inform market theses and price forecasting, and building internal automation to streamline tasks. Requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field; proficiency in Python/SQL; experience with power flow and production-cost modeling tools; ability to collaborate in a small team; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- Preferred: Master's degree in electrical engineering or 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, planning, or operations in the power sector
- Experience with power flow and production cost modeling tools (e.g., Siemens PSSE, PowerWorld Simulator, PROMOD, Dayzer)
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a small team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
