Job Summary
Support transloading operations and assist with the safe movement and placement of railcars throughout the facility. Verify railcar numbers and placement, connect and disconnect hoses and valves, and operate switches, derails, and trackside equipment. Control equipment movement using radio communication and hand signals, couple and uncouple railcars, and apply hand brakes to secure equipment. Inspect work areas for safety and cleanliness, monitor operations for hazards, and report issues as needed. Perform moderate to heavy physical labor including climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment. Full-time, M-F, 6:00 am-2:30 pm with training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment and materials
- Ability to climb on and off railcars, ladders, and platforms
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to follow instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements
- Required use of personal protective equipment
- Must comply with all company and customer safety requirements at all times
