Job Summary
Transload Operator needed to safely and efficiently load trucks and unload railcars of various products in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, protecting train/track/equipment, performing inspections and tests, handling multiple duties such as monitoring equipment, writing safe work permits, loading/unloading trucks and railcars (including asphalt products), maintaining equipment and reporting issues, completing daily reports, and delivering excellent customer service while upholding a strong safety culture. Required/desired skills include teamwork, strong customer service, ability to read and write general documentation, physical fitness to climb railcars, proficiency with Excel and Outlook, problem-solving, and the ability to obtain CROR certification and maintain drug/alcohol clearance. Education and experience preferences include forklift/skidsteer operation, Power Engineering certificates (asset), and rail/industrial experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift or skidsteer preferred
- 5th or 4th class Power Engineering Certificate an asset but not required
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred
- Rail, switching and rail mover experience is an asset
- Knowledge with technology and computer systems with a willingness to use Excel and Outlook daily
- Ability to obtain CROR certification and maintain clear drug & alcohol clearance throughout their employment
