Job Summary
Set up, operate, and blend material per specifications while documenting final blends with date, time, components, and operator details. Communicate daily with the operations manager regarding production runs and equipment concerns. Insure tracks are clear, assist on switches, and report damages. Pull incoming and outgoing samples for lab analysis, then wash and dry empty silos, blenders, and railcars prior to loading. Follow procedures for loading bulk trucks and completing transloading operations with proper hose connections between railcars. Conduct visual checks of machinery, escalate issues to management, and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse and/or blending environment
- Knowledge of material type and specification related to polymers
- Good math, language, and reading skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Able to follow instructions
- Knowledge of proper PPE requirements
- Functional knowledge of handling rail cars and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to differentiate colors, depth and perception
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, depending upon season
- Potential lifting of up to 55 pounds
- Use of basic warehouse equipment and hand tools
