Job Summary
Translate for Spanish-speaking patients while providing frontline administrative support in an outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include directing patients, managing records and reports, assisting with billing and chart preparation, scanning/uploading documents to the EHR, handling inquiries, coordinating with managers, and maintaining an organized office. Requires high school diploma or GED, 6+ months medical-office experience, basic computer/office skills, strong communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6 months+ of medical experience in an administrative physician office setting
- Computer skills (Word, Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Basic telephone and computer skills
- Tact and skill in patient management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of medical office procedures
- Ability to interact with doctors, patients and co-workers
- Ability to triage patients, taking basic vitals
