Job Summary
Translate 504 plans, accommodation documents, evaluations, and correspondence from English into Spanish with precision and cultural sensitivity. Review and edit all translations for grammar, readability, and accuracy while maintaining the original tone and intent. Submit completed work and invoices to the Director of Special Education within two weeks of receipt to support legal compliance. Handle student records with strict confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and CDCPS policies. This contracted role requires proficiency in English and Spanish, familiarity with special education terminology, and the ability to work independently outside of regular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience translate special education
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (native or near- native fluency)
- Familiarity with 504s, Special Education Terminology and educational process
- Strongly written communication skills
- meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work outside of regular working hours
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle student records with a strong level of confidentiality and sensitivity
