Transitional Specialist of Youth Services (Part Time Position)

Job Summary
The Transitional Specialist of Youth Services is responsible for planning the Pre-Employment Transitional Services (Pre-ETS) for students with disabilities, implementing workplace readiness and self-advocacy services, and serving as a liaison between agency leadership and outside partners. This role requires ongoing recruitment to meet program needs, assisting with student enrollment processes, and maintaining necessary records. The position also entails providing guidance and transportation to students, ensuring compliance with policies, and addressing the unique needs of youth through tailored engagement methods.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Human Services or related field required
- 2-3 years’ experience working with youth
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the specific job
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Access, PowerPoint
- Willingness to adapt multiple methods to engage youth in services
