Job Summary
Direct Care Provider for the Woman's Transitional Program in a residential setting. Responsible for direct service to Transitional Program youth, helping reduce verbal/physical aggression, decline criminal activity, support compliance with program rules, and alleviate mental health symptoms. Facilitates engagement in treatment, teaches life and independent living skills, and supports job-readiness and vocational skills. Maintains treatment records, monitors medication administration when needed, leads structured activities, and conducts crisis interventions using NCI techniques. Requires driving ability (driver's license) to transport youth; work includes evening and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field preferred
- OR bachelor's degree in one of the fields referenced in Rule 132 or any other field with 2 years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting
- OR High School Diploma with minimum of 5 years' work with children with behavioral and mental health issues
- Must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License
- Able to drive a passenger van and transport youth
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Successful completion of all staff education requirements including Pre-Service training, training in NCI and CPR, and Maryville Model of Care
- Must possess the ability to interact professionally and work effectively as a treatment team member
- Minimum of 20 hours advanced training/workshops on an annual basis
- Utilization of computer for program documentation and communication needs
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Maryville youth, supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, and support agencies.
