Job Summary
Transitional Classroom role providing paraprofessional support for students in in-school suspension programs. Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, enforcing established rules, checking attendance, explaining expected conduct, assigning and reviewing student work, reporting behavior to administrators, supervising hallways, maintaining records, and performing other duties as assigned in a school classroom setting. Requires ability to follow oral and written instructions, work effectively with students and staff, and respond to emergencies. Prior teaching experience and higher education are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience working with children
- Prior teaching experience preferred
