Job Summary
Consult with prospective advisors to understand their business structure and devise a strategy for a seamless transition to LPL. Engage internal departments as a subject matter expert on core technology and operational processes to provide tailored training on account opening, asset transfers, and maintenance. Facilitate in-depth training on LPL proprietary tools and third-party platforms, including repapering support for data entry and account setup. Navigate transition issues using critical thinking, escalating to management when necessary, while discussing technology needs and premium products. Support department projects and initiatives as needed. This full-time role requires up to 50-60% travel and is part of LPL's 10-week paid summer internship program for early career candidates graduating between December 2025 and December 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Internship or prior experience in financial services, business or a customer service/client-facing environment
- Must be able to travel up to 50-60% of the time
- Graduation timeframe between December 2025 and December 2026
- Effective listening skills, with the ability to understand and respond to advisor or client needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills when engaging with colleagues, leadership, and clients
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and establish trust in a client-facing environment
- Foundational understanding of, or interest in learning, different areas of the financial services industry (e.g., wirehouse, RIA, retirement plans)
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn new concepts, and contribute in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable presenting information in small group or virtual settings, with a willingness to continue developing presentation skills
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and think critically to solve problems
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- Series 7 and 63, 65 or 66
- Internship or exposure to training, business consulting, or financial services environments
- Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM tools
