Transition Manager

Job Summary
Develop integrated project plans, implementation schedules, and cost estimates for global IT transition and transformation initiatives. Finalize transition plans with internal and customer teams while securing resources for knowledge transfer, technology deployment, and service readiness. Manage transition planning, risk mitigation, and early termination strategies to ensure deliverables complete on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinate project activities, track financials, and lead customer steering committees to communicate progress and resolve issues. Deploys standardized transition methodologies and maintains comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle. Continually drive improvement through corrective action plans based on performance analysis and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engg or a related discipline
- 8 plus years relevant PM & Transition management work experience
- Minimum of 12 years IT management experience
- PMP or Agile PMP certified
- ITIL certified
- Exeprience/deep knowledge of all technologies such as service desk, end user computing (workplace services), data center services, network and security services, Cloud Services ,messaging and collaboration (IPT & Contact Center)
- Strong project planning, execution, monitoring, tracking and reporting experience
- Previous people and Transition management experience required
- Previous contract or outsourcing management experience required
- Previous data center migration/transition experience desirable
- Executive presence
- Strong project management capability with deadline focus
- Deep service management process knowledge
- Knowledge /experinece in technology/ network/tools setup
- Knowledge of business environment, requirements and corporate culture
- Knowledge of business processes that will touch Supplier
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in managing multiple large scale projects
- Demonstrated success at leading high performing project teams and working as part of a matrix organization
- Exceptional problem solving capabilities and use of judgment
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment/self starter
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Demonstrates experience in successfully executing global Information Technology transition & transformation projects
- Should have had experience in transitioning projects from India for Multinational customers
Desired Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of technical areas is a plus
