Job Summary
Operate assigned transit vehicles safely in compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while following dispatch instructions to manage passenger pick-ups and drop-offs. Complete required documentation including manifests, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and accident reports. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding routes and fares, assisting passengers courteously, and supporting those with mobility or accessibility needs. Fuel, clean, and maintain vehicles as required, reporting to work during adverse weather and split shifts. Participate in a paid 6-8 week training program covering CDL Class B preparation, defensive driving, and route knowledge. Start July 13th, 2026, with a starting pay of $20.64 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to obtain a CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card
- Possess a good driving record for the past six (6) years
- Successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Demonstrate the ability to safely operate vehicles in all weather conditions
- Have strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Report to work during adverse weather conditions
- Work split shifts as operational needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates who currently possess a CDL with Passenger Endorsement
- Previous transit, bus, or motor coach driving experience
