Job Summary

Support MOW operating subdivisions and ad hoc projects with data analysis and visualization, producing KPI and PPR reports, and assisting with performance planning and maintenance activities. Use Power BI extensively to support data-driven decision-making; contribute to material planning, asset-management initiatives, and remediation spreadsheets, and coordinate track access and other analytical deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or related area; or a bachelor's degree and two years of full-time professional experience in budget/financial administration, engineering, management or analysis, or related fields.
  • Associate Transit Management Analyst requires a Master's degree in the listed disciplines and one year of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and visualization; proficiency with Power BI; ability to prepare remediation spreadsheets and KPI/PPR reports; strong analytical capabilities; experience supporting maintenance or infrastructure environments preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, spatial awareness, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NYCT Subway
  • Proficiency with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access)
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Experience supporting operational, maintenance, or infrastructure environments preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, spatial awareness, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment.

  • As an employee of MTA NYC Transit, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the state of New York, if your position earns more than $101,379 (this is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
