Job Summary
Direct outreach to homeless individuals in the field, including vulnerability screening, escort and referral services, plus maintaining accurate client records and case-management for longer-term services. Responsibilities include recording and reporting statistical data on individuals encountered, recognizing signs of mental health and substance abuse issues, and gaining knowledge of available services. Training-based outreach will focus on end-of-line stations with high collaboration with external agencies; program serves NYC metropolitan area including Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. Vaccination is required for all staff; program emphasizes health, safety, and well-being with benefits and career development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree required or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Valid state driver’s license preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification or ability to pass test
- Good writing skills to describe client interactions
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to speak Spanish desirable
