Job Summary
Transfusion Medicine Physician role within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Phoenix Children's. The clinical attending will support Apheresis, Transfusion, and Coagulation Services, overseeing a high-volume immunohematology blood bank (18,000 blood products/year), therapeutic apheresis and phlebotomy (650 cases/year), and a robust red blood cell exchange program for pediatric and adult hemoglobinopathy patients. The candidate may pursue specialization in informatics, coagulation, or related clinical pathology domains, with opportunities for medical directorship, program development, teaching, and research. Faculty appointments with University of Arizona-Phoenix College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona, and Creighton University School of Medicine are encouraged, with rank commensurate with qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine
- Residency training in Clinical Pathology (preferred) or Pediatrics or Hematology/Oncology
