Job Summary
Oversee field assembly of power transformers in a national travel role, ensuring adherence to OEM manuals and drawings; witness inspections and tests (IR, TTR, winding resistance, PF/DDF, SFRA), review manufacturer specs and drawings, manage documentation (NCRs, daily reports, punch lists), verify torque, clearances, and BOM traceability; ensure cleanliness and moisture control; requires 5+ years transformer assembly experience; OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, Rigging/Signaling; ability to read electrical drawings; willing to travel across Florida; per diem and vehicle allowance provided.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on transformer assembly experience
- Experience with transformer components (core/coil, windings, OLTC/DETC, bushings, conservator, radiators)
- Oil handling (vacuum fill, degasification)
- Field test witnessing and acceptance criteria familiarity (IR, TTR, winding resistance, PF/DDF, SFRA)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Certifications: OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E training, Rigging/Signaling, First Aid/CPR
