Job Summary
Manage operation and maintenance of the Miami County Recycling/Transfer Station, including overseeing hauling operations, organizing work flow, and ensuring equipment functionality. Supervise Sanitary Engineering department staff by scheduling assignments, evaluating performance, and resolving complaints. Develop unit work procedures, enforce policies and regulations, and coordinate with local and state officials. Prepare and monitor the station budget, order parts, and coordinate maintenance and repairs. Investigate suspected violations and report them for enforcement action. Ensure safe working environments through safety training and hazard reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of four (4) years of high school or equivalent
- More than five (5) years' refuse operation experience in a supervisory capacity
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Valid Ohio commercial driver's license, Class B
- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment for loading, hauling, and disposal of solid waste
- Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
