Job Summary
Operate a range of heavy equipment including forklift, bobcat, backhoe, track hoe, and compactor to bale and load waste material. Perform daily inspections, lubrication, and fluid checks; guide and drive equipment; substitute for other operators as needed. Maintain grounds, follow safety procedures, and communicate with crew via two-way radio. Requires reading gauges, basic math, and ability to work outdoors in variable conditions; English proficiency required; lifting up to 50 pounds; prior forklift certification and potential to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of forklift certification
- Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed
- High school diploma or GED desired
