Job Summary
Drive company vehicles to perform first-call removals of deceased in accordance with local laws, company policies, and chain-of-custody procedures. Safely transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes while courteously interacting with bereaved families and accommodating first responders, coroners, or facility staff. Maintain vehicle cleanliness by washing, vacuuming, and fueling cars, and manage personal protective supplies and removal materials. Enter deceased event information into proprietary software and identify vehicle issues for management. Requires current driver's license, high school diploma, and ability to lift 75 pounds with weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- At least one (1) year work experience as a courier, driver
- Ability work schedule to support business needs including weekends and nights
- Ability to work on-call weekends, nights and holidays rotation
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push/pull up to 200 pounds
- Ability to drive in hazardous, heavy traffic, and weather conditions
- Basic computer skills
