Transfer Specialist (part-time)

Job Summary
Drive company vehicles to perform first-call transfers of deceased in accordance with local laws and company policies. Safely transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes while maintaining chain-of-custody, paperwork, and identification protocols. Collaborate with first responders, coroners, and hospital staff to accommodate their procedures, and courteously interact with bereaved families during home transfers. Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles; fuel them as necessary and identify engine issues for management. Enter deceased event information into proprietary software and maintain personal protective supplies. Lift up to 75 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally. Work weekends, nights, and holidays on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- At least one (1) year work experience as a courier, driver
- Ability work schedule to support business needs including weekends and nights
- Ability to work on-call weekends, nights and holidays rotation
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull up to 200 pounds
- Ability to drive in hazardous, heavy traffic, and weather conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Local and/or multiple location traveling required
- Work indoors and or outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Comply with Field dress code policy
- Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
- Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 75 pounds
- Working beyond 'standard' hours as the need arises
- Local travel up to 100% using company vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a courier, driver; with direct customer interaction strongly preferred
